Our 20 in 20 presentations are led by Wanda Martins and Adam Norton, two robot enthusiasts who are excited to share their passion for robotics with Massachusetts students. Follow us on Twitter...

Wanda Martins

Hometown:
Peterborough, NH

Education:
My B.A. is in Sociology and I have almost completed my M.Ed. for School Counseling at Keene State College in New Hampshire.

What do you do when you're no on the road for 20 in 20?
I currently work at iRobot as a robot driver as well as at a high school completing an internship for school counseling. I am also certified as paraprofessional Level II and have experience in instructing Zumba, dance and ice skating. Robots are fascinating and exciting to me and I look forward to working with children and STEM outreach coordinators through the SPARK program.

What's your favorite fictional robot?
It has to be Wall-E!

Adam Norton

Hometown:
Lowell, MA

Education:
I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in spring 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design.

What do you do when you're no on the road for 20 in 20?
I'm an artist and instructor for the Artbotics program with The Revolving Museum and UMass Lowell. In Artbotics, I teach middle school and high school students how to build and program their own interactive, kinetic sculptures - meaning art that moves! It's a great program that uses art practices, computer science programming, and engineering concepts to spark students' interest in robotics.

What's your favorite fictional robot?
It would have to be the self-aware and maniacal robot HAL from "2001: A Space Odyssey." Daisy... daisy...
